The April Hub Editing Challenge

   I was going to wait until the 31st of March to post this, but some March challengers are already finished (or very nearly so) and may want to start planning early.
   
   For those of us who jumped on board for the 15/30 and 30/30 March Challenge, many of us wrote several hubs in the midst of life obstacles, emergencies, losses, and a multitude of other issues. As such, our little internal editors are just itching to go back and fix all the missed typos and grammatical errors, add a little more detail, and change up and improve on images, polls, videos, quizzes, and more to give our hubs the quality treatment they deserve!
   
   For the editing challenge, the idea is to go back over the hubs we just wrote (and those you may have written before while we're at it) and make them all better. As we go, feel free to share which hubs you've updated here so we can see them (but please refrain from turning this thread into nothing but links).
   
   Take the extra time this month (as this challenge is considerably less time consuming than last month's) to read through the new hubs of our fellow challengers. Offer some tips, advice, and constructive criticism. (Note: If you do not possess tact, or can't even define the word, chances are you should probably refrain from offering criticism. Even with good intentions, criticism without tact quickly turns into negative judgement that does not lead to any level of productivity.)
   
   We got out all our words in March. Now let's take the time to make them look good! ^_^

         Thanks. As the March challenge started, there were several concerns raised regarding the quality of the hubs being published. We, for the most part, all agreed that we could afford to sacrifice a little quality for quantity so long as we all went back through afterward and took our time making up for it.

      Count me in! I've written 5 hubs in a week. But, that's not what I want to edit. Those are fine I'll be editing the previous hubs
      
      I'll begin on the 1st itself and I'm going to be adding more related videos, editing the text, making the hub more attractive (As this surely brings more shares - I did this on one of my hubs and it's working quite well - from 2 views a day it went to 5 views from google for 3 days and now its crept up to 11)
      
      Doing it for all my hubs would surely help! So, take the time to add polls, pics and videos as well - that helps loads!

         Oh, yes, higher quality (which means all aesthetics along with great content included) hubs are definitely worth the effort! It improves the community as well as helps with increasing our traffic.

      Absolutely! I found myself spending way too much time looking for or trying to take the "perfect" photos for hubs again and had to stop myself. We can devote an equal amount of time to making them better once we are done.

   I've got a question about this. After editing a hub do you publish anew the re-written hub and have it count as a new hub or just make a listing of the ones corrected, hoping someone will read them and comment anew?

      We are simply editing our hubs we published in March (or all if you like) and sharing which ones have been updated here. There is no need to unpublish a hub, edit it, and publish it again as a new hub when we can just update them. In the 30 Hubs in 30 Days for March Contest thread, we were discussing that it would be nice to be able to share with others when we update a hub as updates don't show up in feeds or elsewhere. Thus, we are doing this editing challenge so we can share our progress with each other!

   That's an excellent idea to dedicate one month to re-write hubs. I have too many old hubs which can be improved. I have been editing them as and when I have some free time.

   I think this is an excellent idea, I have been lax on my writing because of a move and other personal issues, but taking the time to improve hubs already written is simply good writing sense.I am doing it little by little, and will devote as much time as I can improving upon my written hubs. Thank you for a great idea:)

            Awesome! I have a tendency to go back through and edit my hubs from time to time, but with the 30/30 challenge this month, time is simply something I have not had extra of! Devoting a month to editing with the added bonus of peer support should make for some fantastic hubs when we are all done! ^_^

   Okay, here we go! April is upon us and it's time for us to get to editing. Be sure to share your newly edited hubs with us here so we know which ones to check out! (If you edit more than one a day, try to post them all together so we aren't buried in links. Don't want to miss non-link posts!) Also be sure to check out each others' hubs. Many of us just wrote a couple dozen or more hubs last month and so there are plenty more hubs to read through. We've written a lot of good content, now let's go make them pretty and show we can produce high quality hubs as well!
