Magic: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013: Drake Expectations Challenge Solution
Overview
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers has become an annual release on XBox Live Arcade, Playstation Network and Steam for fans of Magic. 2013 is the newest iteration of the series, and was the first time the series was released for the iPad as well. One of the popular features of the games has been a series of challenges pitting the player in a pre-designed situation that he/she must figure out how to overcome and achieve victory from the jaws of defeat. In 2013 10 new challenges await to be uncovered...
The third challenge is Drake Expectations and has you mounting an assault on your opponent in a bid to take him out before his next turn.
This match puts you up against Garruk again. This time it's your turn and you need to defeat Garruk before he takes his next turn. Fortunately Time Warp will give you more than one chance to beat him.

Solution
Step 1: Cast Sage Owl. Click on Blaze first, then Furnace of Rath, then Mountain and lastly Time Warp (this puts Time Warp on top, you're essentially clicking them in the reverse order of what you want)
Step 2: Cast Time Warp and end your turn (don't attack)
Step 3: Cast Time Warp (the one you just drew) and click on "Stop Timer" before it resolves
Step 4: Cast Reverberate on the Time Warp you just cast. Allow both to resolve.
Step 5: End your turn (again, don't attack). You should have 3 2/2 flying Drakes in play from the spells you've cast.
Step 6: Play the Mountain you just drew. Cast both of your Talrand's Invocations. This will put 6 more Drakes in place, for a total of 9. Your turn ends without attacking once more
Step 7: Cast the Furnace of Rath you just drew
Step 8: Cast Rupture, sacrificing your Talrand Sky Summoner. All of Garruk's spiders will be killed and you'll be free to attack
Step 9: Attack with everything you have. You will do exactly enough damage to defeat Garruk
