New Squinkies For 2013 - The Latest Releases

On this page we are going to be taking a look at new Squinkies for 2013. We will bring you all the latest news on new Squinkie releases and tell you what’s going to be available and when. If you are a fan of these little figures then this page should tell you everything you need to know about what is coming up in 2013.

One of the most popular new toys we have seen in the past few years have been these cute little soft figures. These are of course known as Squinkies. Since they first hit the shops a few years back they have grown in popularity immensely and the company who make these, Blip Toys, have made sure they bring out lots of new releases to keep children interested. Over 2012 there have been various new Bubble Packs released and these all went down very well. So as we move towards 2013 what new Squinkies can we expect to see? Well lets take a look.

So first of all we are going to take a look at Squinkies for boys. If you are familiar with the toys you will no that they are divided up into toys that are suitable for boys and toys that are suitable for girls. So what new characters and Bubble Packs are we likely to see in 2013? Well currently there has been no official word from Blip Toys as to what to expect. At the back end of this year they are releasing a new Power Rangers series and also series 4 and series 5 of the WWE line. Ahead of that though there is nothing confirmed. That does not however mean that we are clueless.

If 2012 is anything to go by then we can get a pretty good idea of the new Bubble Packs we are going to see next year. The running theme seemed to be release characters based on whatever film was popular at the time. Hence we were given Avengers Squinkies, a Spider-Man Bubble Pack, Batman characters and various DC Comics packs. Blip Toys have been very smart in anticipating where the demand is going to be and then supplying that demand, so we expect that trend to continue.

So next year there are big films coming out such as Superman Man Of Steel. As they already have the rights to the DC Comics characters then we are pretty sure they will release a Bubble Pack based on Superman. So we will probably see characters such as Superman himself, Clark Kent, Louis Lane, General Zod and a few other names that appear in the movie. Another big release will be Ironman 3. Again they already have the license from Marvel so it will be no great surprise if we get new Bubble packs released around this.

One massive new release at the end of 2012 is going to be The Hobbit. Currently there are no Lord Of The Rings Squinkies but Blip Toys would surely consider making this a possibility as there are so many excellent characters to draw upon from both LOTR and The Hobbit.

Along with releases brought out based on big movies we may also see a new series’ of themes already introduced. So possibly more Simpsons characters, more WWE packs, SpongeBob might get a new series and surely we will see more of the Squinkie Zinkies which are smaller than the regular figures. As we do get confirmation of what characters and figures we will be getting we will update this page and bring you all the latest news.

The good news is that we do have some definite news as to what to expect from Squinkies for girls. Blip Toys have already announced three new Bubble Packs which will be released over the spring. The first of these is the Farm Bubble Pack. This will feature 16 new collectable characters and they will come in lime green gum balls. As usual a few of the characters are hidden so it’s a surprise as to what you will be getting. Some of the characters we do know about will include a chicken, a chick in an egg, a horse, a cow, a few farmers and a blue sheep.

The second new release will be a Birthday theme, this will be series 27. This time the gum balls will be blue and again there will be 16 new characters. Some of these include an elephant, a cat and what looks like a purple hippo. The third series that has been announced will be a Circus Bubble Pack. This looks to be the most interesting of the new ones and again will have 16 new characters this time in purple gum balls. The figures will include a clown, a horse, an acrobat and ring master. As is usually the case a few of the characters will be hidden from view so it is a surprise when you open the packet.

Along with these confirmed release there will be no doubt lots more coming in the new year. We expect new dispensers as well as the actual Bubble Packs and so it will be interesting to see what kind of things Blip Toys bring out in this regard.

If 2012 was anything to go by then we are expecting 2013 to be a massive year for Squinkies. There will surely be lots of exciting new toys coming out and loads of new characters to collect. The company behind these look set to increase the Squinkie family several times over as they look for lots of new characters to bring out. Some will probably be based on characters we already know and love and some will probably be ones dreamed up by the people who make these little figures.
