Does anyone ever get reader's block?
I am sure emotion has a lot to do with it, but I get reader's block. I can only read a certain amount from a few readers and some days not for very long at all.
Yes. Sometimes I can read for hours and day dream each sentence in my head like movie. But other days, I just can't connect with the words. It's upsetting at times.
I do get readers block but it isn't from emotional hubs, it is from the serious ones. I have to have some heavy doses of humor when I read the political hubs. I want and need to keep up on the political situation while I am waiting to vote but I can't take too much of it before my brain shuts down and will not process any more. Then I head to a humorous one to help my mood level out.
no, i only ever read what i am interested in, Knowledge is power it frees your mind, why read rubbish it clogs up your free thought, or learn to meditate and have "no thought" that way you do not need to read at all.

It's funny to me, half the hubs I hop are professed "Poetry", Ironically most of them are just strung together word vomits. I have read a few that are amazing,a couple moving..etc But mostly, just a whole ton of crap. Yep. I know, it's looked down on to say bad things about fellow...

I published my first hub today. The first comment I got remarked that my hub was funny. It's not. I can see that maybe a scan of the first paragraph might lead a casual reader to think that the hub may be going in an amusing direction but how can the death of my wife and my subsequent decision to...
