This was just posted on my Facebook wall. I thought it might be fun. How many squares do you see?
I can see 25 including the big one but some people have seen 36 - I'm not sure what I'm missing. I hope it 's fun and apologies to all of you that may already of seen it.
I can see 27....lets see what others have to say on the number of squares !!!
I keep staring at it but can't see anymore. Will come back to it later with fresh eyes.
Did you count the small squares in the bottom and top?
No, there is actually 36 and maybe more. I just went back to it.
I see 36. Remember to count the 'center' squares when you're counting.
I found 36 squares. You have to look past the obvious ones to see the other squares.
Quickly looking, I see 32 squares. I do not see 36 or 37. Maybe I'm missing something.
I have marked the grid so as to pin point the squares.
Total sq are 40. [ + signs are for intersection or meeting points.]
a+ b+ c+ d+ e+
A+ B+ C+ this is inset sq.
f+ g+ H+ h+ D+ i+ j+
G+ F+ E+ this is inset sq.
k+ l+ m+ n+ o+
p+ q+ r+ s+ t+
u+ v+ w+ x+ y+
TOTAL SQUARES 40 AS FOLLOWS
Sq.of type abgf- 16
“ acmk -4
“ adsp -4
“ bdnl -4
gisq – 1
“ ABCD- 2
“ ABhH -8 TOTAL SQ =40
I see 40 as well. There are 8 itty bitty squares, 18 regular size squares, 9 double size squares, 4 triple size squares, and one large square. 8+18+9+4+1 = 40.

I recently posted a poem in a Facebook poetry group. The poem is a mixture of serious sentiment and humor. And you must keep in mind that in this particular group people have often posted poems glorifying dangerous and deviant sex acts. My poem is tame in comparison. There is no gratuitous...
