What brings back all of your happiest, childhood memories?
For me, the smell of an ice rink brings back all of my happiest, childhood memories. Why? Well, I'm a figure skater, and I grew up with a rough childhood. Skating, for me, was my escape and my outlet. Without skating, I don't know where I would be, and I just went back to ice skating after 6 years of being off the ice, and I haven't been happier.
Hi, I think the best thing that makes me suddenly remember my happiest childhood memories is music. I can be standing washing up at the sink and suddenly I get transported back in time if a certain piece of music comes on the radio. Not only does it show me the memory but I can see the colors, smell the grass and hear the laughter around me too. I think it must somehow 'ping' the part of the brain that holds our earliest memories. And of course music can show us anytime in our lives, like a capsule of time travel if you like.
