What toy made you imagination come alive in childhood?

As I child I raced on a blue and yellow Raleigh scooter and I felt as if I had became part of Charlie's Angels.  Did you love your bike, SIndy dolls, football or something else? What toy transformed you to another world?

legos. more specifically, bionicle. I wonder what ever happened to that series. Also, I remember having different video game making programs on my computer. those really sparked my imagination

My tricycle.  I'd turn it upside down so the seat was on the ground.  I'd pour dirt thru the front fender as I'd manually spin the pedals.  I pretended I was a carny making popcorn.

I have never heard of that one, it sounds like sweets had a major theme in though. I had a Cadbury's Chocolate Machine which I loved!

When I was six, I got a GI Joe, and it was all over.  He took me everywhere.  I parachuted, I drove a jeep, and I was in battle.  I had the Air Force GI Joe.  Then later one Christmas, I received the British version.  Those were the best toys that I ever had.  I had a footlocker for him, along with guns, a bayonet, a mess kit.  I played with those dolls for YEARS.

I used to love my etch a sketch.  I played with that thing all the time.  I also loved this little tree house toy I had.  You pushed a button and the tree opened up and it was a house with little people and stuff in it.  I can't remember the name of it - but I loved playing in that imaginary tree house.

'Oh Penny' figures and play sets. I would play for hours with the big house, fairground and tree house etc. Me and my sister would make up all sorts of scenarios for our Oh Penny figures. Great memories.

For me it was a record player.  The record player had a red-checkered top and could be carried around like a suitcase.  I took it with me everywhere.  I only had a couple 45s that I played over and over.  We moved a lot as a child so I guess that's why I no longer have it.  Sure wish I did still have it.
