      I don't - because I'm a mother. My baby just loves to throw, smash, kick and make as much noise as she can and adding noise making toys to that... well it is a great recipe for a headache!

      I never liked talking dolls or guns that made blasting noises. They leave so little for the imagination.
      
      I rather enjoy the quiet. No rattling, no buzzing, no beeping... The only sound I enjoy that comes from a toy is the quiet buzzing of B.O.B.

               I wasn't sure.
               At first I thought it might be some rock singer or something....like Dildo...errrr....I mean Dido. 
               
               Which of course brings up the basic question of why lesbians use things like that, if they're "born" to only be pleased by another woman.    Haven't ever heard a lesbian answer that.  Wonder if they even have the nerve to try to add that up....

                  I'm almost afraid to explain in detail since I am not 100% sure about the guidelines about sexual topics in the forum, but here goes:
                  
                  Every woman is different when it comes to sexual needs and how to sexually satisfy them.
                  
                  Some women can only reach orgasm by clitoris stimulation.
                  
                  Some women can only reach orgasm by penetration.
                  
                  Some women can only reach orgasm by anal play.
                  
                  Some women can only reach orgasm by anal penetration.
                  
                  Some women can only reach orgasm by a combination of all these factors.
                  
                  And some women can reach orgasm by a simple back rub.
                  
                  The use of a dildo, vibrator, or other toys are common in lesbian relationships because tongues and fingers are simply not stimulating enough to help them reach orgasm.
                  
                  There are other lesbian relationships where toys are not used at all because tongues and fingers are all they really need to become satisfied.
                  
                  You must realize that the use of a dildo, vibrator, or other toy does not mean the woman is attracted to said toy. The fact of the matter is that their partner is what turned them on. The toy aids in helping them reach sexual satisfaction.
                  
                  And, of course, since another woman knows most of the secret places that help you to reach climax and exactly how to pleasure those secret places effectively, many women are better at using a "penis" than a man is.

                        But indeed it explains nothing and says nothing that I for one didn't already know (which, some of it is fallacy!).
                        
                        It explains nothing about why lesbians need "toys" to satisfy them, when in fact a man has the actual original version.
                        
                        I think it's because they have a willing aversion to having a relationship with a man.....perhaps an aversion to getting pregnant or simply relating to a man as a mate.   In other words (word)--  heterophobia.

                           I have to say, the wole gay/straight thing aside, several of the points made are very relevant to many women. It has nothing to do with orientation. I can attest to the fact that none of it was fallacy.

   Noisemaking toys were invented for wicked aunties like me to buy their niece and nephew for Christmas, so that my brother gets woken up at 6am on Christmas morning by an infernal racket made by said toys! LOL

   My 3rd husband was a musician. Noisemaking toys don't bother me a single bit. I just tune them out. I get a kind of perverse pleasure when I see other people bothered by them... I'm thinking of getting my grandson a drum set so I can annoy my neighbors and scare away the barn cats.

      are you sure you don't just want to annoy your grandson's mom?  My mother in law used to delight in sending the babies loud and obnoxious toys - drums, clacker toys etc. and especially bad were the little toys that imitated noises and said words  like TRUCK! vrooooom (loud noise of truck)  drove me crazy when I had 3 under age of 5 perfectly capable of making lots of noise without toys to help.  She did it on purpose - so I started opening the boxes for christmas and birthday ahead of time and substituting other things.  but then she showed up on vacation once and was looking for all the things she'd sent, which I had given to other kids.  funny?  I thought so,  she didn't!  never heard the end of it!
      
      but now  = I go to friends' houses where their kids are playing with loud toys - those chickens on wheels that clack clack clack - and really enjoy the sounds!  go figure - knowing I don't have to hear it all the time, I guess!

         OMG, how funny.  I'd like to see that.  I can't even imagine the consequences.  My grandson's mom is my oldest daughter and the last thing anyone would ever want to do is annoy her.  She's got her father's explosive temper and is part banshee and part demon and she could make anyone's life hell on earth if they did anything as foolish as annoy her on purpose... LOL!  It would be like poking a stick at a wounded tiger. I'm impulsive, but I'm not suicidal.

   Yeah me too, IF that's really the innocent idea of the original post.  Around here, who knows?!

   Okay....
   
   The subject is noise-making toys.  The OP didn't specify if it's kids' toys or cat toys or dog toys or what.
   
   I like the kids' toys that make music, like the little pianos, etc. that my kids played with when they were little.  (I moreso enjoyed when THEY would add the "sound effects" themselves to toys/games that had no sound, like plastic airplanes, etc.)
   
   And some of the ones with electronic music/lyrics.  I once bought my grandchild a really cute stuffed skunk that sang "How sweet it is to be loved by you!"   It was so cool!
   
   I don't really like it when animals as toys are dressed up in human clothing, though;  something about that just ain't right!
   
   I also like cat toys.  We have one for our kitties that's a little bird that chirps when the cats bat at it.  Sounds like a real bird.

   I grew up with dollhouses, wooden train sets, hotwheel cars and playing in the woods. My siblings and I made ENOUGH noise without having to get toys to do that for us!
   
   Some toys are so noisy, colorful and plain down weird I wonder why children even like them. But on the other hand when you get a baby swing that plays Beethoven...well you can't beat that!
