You got a year in a room to play the same game for a Year Straight..!  What video game title has the most play value that doesn't get boring..?  Remember - no other games for a year.

      Oh, WW3 on the PS3

      *smug troll*

Actually, Halo: Reach, for the multiplayer.
If there was no multiplayer, then probably Gears 3, horde

Well judging by the amount of time I have spent on the following games, I would say either Modern warfare 3 or skyrim but I guess if I could only pick one it would be Skyrim, It is a true monster of a game and would keep me entertained for that long I think.

Kingdom Hearts-- the first and classic.

Only because as a little kid, when I was Disney obsessed I used to sit with my dad every night and we'd play it together and try to figure it out. It takes a long time and it never gets boring, even if it is completely childish. I have good memories associated with that game.

For singleplayer? The grand-daddy of FPS games and the foundation-maker of Horror, the one! The only! DooM, on the XBOX 360 LIVE Arcade!

For Multiplayer? Probably Rainbow Six: VEGAS 1 or 2. ^^

Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. I've had that damn thing for almost 20 years but have never completed it. (Though my 9 year old son has, several times... I'm not sure if I should be proud, or jealous. Haha.) If I had a year to work at it maybe I finally would!

I would have to say Saints Row: The Third because you can pretty much do anything you want and with all the DLC content for the game playing it for a year everyday would give you hours of fun. The multiplayer is fun and adds to the games fun factor.

Skyrim, as you could play for a year and still not complete everything in the game.  You could start again multiple times as different characters, with different skills, resulting in a different game each time and never get bored.  You could get married, buy a house, pretty much anything you want.

    Cheers

    Roly

I would have to agree with RolyRetro. A really long RPG or Adventure game would be the key game. FPS games will get boring and old. I know you say it won't but seriously think about it! It will get boring. So I would say Skyrim as well. I played that game over 100 hours and still haven't beat it. The only way an FPS would be alright is with online playing just because you could actually talk to people while you're stuck in the room.

Something opened ended that would allow me to create my own stories (or at least use my imagination).

Minecraft, Mount & Blade Warband, or maybe Arma or Arma 2. If I really had to choose a console game, though, I'd go with a Monster Hunter or Disgaea. Worst case scenario? Super Mario 64.

Oblivion or skyrim... with DLC hopefully. Shivering isles was just as long as most regular rpgs.
If not those then it would have to be Black ops or MW3 because while its repetitive it just never gets old.

I would probably play Madden or NBA 2K.

Earthworm Jim 2 for the Genesis.
If I had to play a game where I just killed things all day everyday for a month I would turn into a psycho. If I had a game that is action packed and humorous I wouldn't go postal at the end of a month
