    The best one is garlic. Eating few cloves of garlic a day helps to fight flue and cold. In addition, rinsing nose with salt water helps.

    Among the most effective antivirals are:
    Olive leaf extract, either in capsule or liquid form.
    Oil of oregano, capsule or liquid form.
    Elderberry liquid, will boost the immune system, and is also anti viral.
    Zinc lozenges, taken at the first sign, will lessen, and even eliminate the viral infection.
    Olive leaf extract, and grapefruit seed extract, sold in combination form, is very effective against colds, as it kills the virus right where it starts, in the sinuses.
    Grapefruit seed extract may also be used as a gargle for a sore throat, always dilute very strong. Very effective against sore throat.
    Green tea, with honey. Green tea boosts the immune system, and honey is an anti infective.
    Thyme, and sage are expectorants, will loosen flem, and make it easier to expell the mucus.
    Chicken soup broth, is also anti viral.
    QBC, is an effective natural antihistamine, and decongestant, with out the jitters.
    Vicks vapo rub, placed on the chest will open up sinuses, and airways, as long as you are not allergic to menthol.
    Wash your hands often, when you cough or sneeze, better to do so on your sleeve, so as not to spread germs through touch.
