The forums are interesting places of exchange of ideas. The forums can be a place of learning divergent ways of viewing things. The forums are a way of letting one's voice be held and give one the freedom to discuss things that may be frowned upon in families, friends, and associates. However, there are some people who are masters at the art of contention and confrontation. They love nothing better to believe that they are "right" while others are "wrong". There are some people who let this contention affect them thus they are drawn into the contentious argument. Yet there are others who refuse to be aggravated and let live.
Do you let forum arguments go as that person has a right to his/her opinion as it isn't worth it emotionally, mentally, and/or healthwise to be aggravated by this as there are more important issues?
Grace sweetie, if I let opinions that differ with my own keep me up nights I'd completely have to give up nocturnal erotic adventures involving my husband. And, sigh, I'd miss those. Especially the really weird ones where Zack Quinto and that dude who plays Bilbo Baggins make an appearance..and Christopher Walken is chasing me with cherries impaled on a swizzle stick. Nope, just not ready to say bye bye to that. Folks can just have their opinions.
"Who cares!" !! are you kidding? Every issue I discuss is a life and death issue!! It is crucial to convince as many people as I can of my point of view, otherwise the nation is domed! No one gets it, but me! No one, I tell you! Without me where would we be??? Probably socialistic by now! Furthermore, I am sure the President is reading my posts in the HP forums! How else am I going to reach the President! He must listen to me and everyone who agrees with me! Maybe he will start thinking for himself when he sees the error of his ways... by reading true logic and common sense... What does it matter??? !!! Sheesh what a question!
Right, gmwilliams?
You're absolutely right! Who would ever want to live in a domed city - Asimov made that pretty plain in his "Caves of Steel". A nasty, claustrophobic way of life.
funny. doomed.
Domes will be on mars.
I'll have to read that book though, Thanks! sounds interesting.
Plexiglass domes would be okay,
No?
Is Homer and Marge Simpson in the domed city? I think it'd be tolerable being stuck in one if Marge was my neighbor. Not sure about Homer, though.

This question is for the anti-gay folk who spend an enormous amount of energy in various gay groups and forums. Why?Is it because you want to make sure everyone knows you are not gay? What are you SO afraid of if you stop preaching your anti-gay beliefs?GLBT forums are supposed to be for GLBT...

It seems odd to me why atheists flock to the religious forums. They continue to ask for evidence of God, knowing they won't get any.It seems that they are there soley to mock believers in spirituality and God.
