What are some of your favorite home remedies for common ailments?
Apple Cider Vinegar is my favorite home remedy. It helps with easing digestion, clearing skin, high cholesterol, diabetes, toxins in body as well as other alternative medicine cures.
Garlic, spicy peppers, onions, and the aforementioned chicken soup.
Ginger tea, holy basil tea, keep your legs in warm water to which a handful of crushed garlic is added.... stinks ... but works magic for my kids all the time!
A couple of my favourites are peppermint essential oil for headaches and tea tree gargle for sore throats. They both can be made at home with no fuss.

Ginger –Ginger is a great herb for many purposes,but is extremely help fulls in as heartburn home remedies it can settle your stomach if its upset. You can also take ginger in different forms like capsule,teas,ginger ale with real ginger.
Aniseed or anise – is a good herb that aids in proper digestion and has many other health benefits.
Teas can be quite effective in assisting with digestive problems. Green tea and Camomile can both work nicely.
