If you are sexually active, (HAHA to that term) you should go see a gynocologist to get tested for STD's and talk to her about contraceptives. You should start taking birth control if you are looking for a medication to prevent pregnancy, but if you are not monogomous, or married for that matter...I would say ALWAYS use a condom as well. You never know. Plus, even birth control is only 99%.

This is one topic where I would advise you to seek out a medical professional.  A Doctor or Pharmacist can discuss your bodies personal needs/issues and help you to find the best solution for you.  When it comes to something like this, you really shouldn't take chances when it comes down to it.  Of course, you know, with abstinence, there is a 100% chance that you will not *accidentally* become pregnant.  smile  Good Luck!

Best way to avoid pregnancy is using condoms, because oral contraceptives, medicines have side effects also but their are many oral contraceptive pills also, if you are married then your doctor can put a coil in your uterus which will avoid pregnancy for 2 to 5 years depending upon your wish, i. e.for how long you want to avoid pregnancy? before taking any medicine or coil you must consult a doctor and have a check up that every thing is normal and whenever you want to conceive you can remove the coil.

Any pill will do, just hold it between your knees all the time.
Go to a family planning clinic, if you need to ask this question, you don't know enough about the mechanics of sex and pregnancy to engage in sexual activity.
