Do glasses make your eyes worse over time?
If your eyes aren't too bad, but you have been prescribed glasses and wear them...will your sight deteriorate more quickly than if you didn't?
They have improved my eyesight over time and for a few years now, I have been able to go to weaker perscriptions each time - and my astigmatism disappeared 4 years ago!
Thanks Patty, that's good to hear. I've heard opinions in both directions. I like wearing the glasses I have been given but it seems like the more I wear them - the more I need them. Perhaps I'm just getting accustomed to seeing clearly and the difference is much more noticeable as a result.

Do or can glasses and contacts make vision worse than without? It seems like they would cause the eyes to become dependent on the glasses or contacts and then worsen. It this completely false? I had horrible vision on...

At what age do your eyes start to go bad or your vision starts to deteriorate?
