    Eat healthy and don't eat in excess of what your body needs to maintain your ideal body weight. Also stay active.

    Eat what you want not what you think you should.
    But only eat when you're hungry.
    Eat slowly and consciously and enjoy every mouthful.
    Stop when you're full.
    Don't let yourself get too hungry as then you'll eat too much.
    Take a look at Paul McKenna's book 'I Can Make You Thin' for more on this.
