i have back and neck pain and the typical worse time of day is in the morning after sleeping. i am stiff and sore from remaining in a spot for an extended period of time.
I have arthritis in my neck and shoulder. The mornings are usually when I feel it most. But if I've had a really hectic day then it can nag throughout the day and at nightime. When I had lower back pain a few years ago it was after a days work that I felt it the most.
have you been tested for anklosing spondylitis this is what i suffer from and is commnly diagnosed through morning pain and stiffness
The time of day that my back pain increases would be closing in on bedtime. And that is around 9 pm
Pain in general can vary depending on the type of pain. Generally in an inflammatory situation, pain is worse during the night and in the morning with increased stiffness. A mechanical problem is worse end of day due to use. Morning pain and stiffness are not enough to diagnose ankylosing spondylitis. A genetic marker detected through a blood test is often used to arrive at a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. This condition is not common and generally effects a certain demographic.
