I plan ahead,
I buy Food for few days,
Get the prescription drugs from the pharmacy,
Read in my archives If I can add some herbal remedies or replace any of the drugs,
Check that My best friend still has keys to my home,
(just in case everything goes bad)
Find Interesting book or papers,
Download interesting RPG game,
Download a whole season of any good anime,
(I prefer super powers)
And I am set to be sick at home. All that I need to do is rest and get better.
Funnily enough now that I work for myself from home I don't tend to get 'sick'. But when I used to work in the City and took a sick day, I'd just lounge at home watching day to time and eat junk then dread the thought of having to go back to work the next day. Sometimes I would string out my 'sickness' for a couple of days lol. Naughty me I know.
Get those odd things done that usually dont get done, the ones that could take your mind off the sickness and get you healthy again!!
Be creative!!
Typically grab all my meds from the store first, prep some chicken noodle soup, and cover up in a bundle of blankets and watch television until I pass out on the couch.
Prepare enough food in advance, stay in bed to let my imagination soar, and listen to music.
sometimes you can't always plan ahead when you get sick and have to stay home....I usually have plenty of food on hand and especially in the freezer. So when I am sick I like to heat up some good soup and stay in my pjs with a warm bathrobe. Then I find a good movie or TV show and fluff up the pillow and curl up to recuperate. If I am not in the mood to watch TV, then I turn on some good music.
I myself I go to the drug store get my medications, come home get in my most comfy pj's and pull out the sofa bed and watch HBO while sipping on chicken soup or whatever tastes good to me at the time.
Well I drink lots of cranberry juice, that speeds up recovery, and well I sleep through it until it ends
That's easy, I call all of my friends and throw a Possum Party!
I get medication, as well a tissue box or two, and I try to make myself comfortable (either on the living room sofa, or on the bed) I get some books that I have to read for school, or simply watch something on TV. Mostly, I sleep however.
I work from home, like another poster, so there is no 'having to stay home' in the usual sense... but when I do get sick, I don't work, I take whatever is appropriate for my ailment, and I curl up on the couch or the bed with books, video games or my laptop.
I usually pass out now and then lol.
Very seldom have I stayed at home when I was sick. But when I did, I usually drink loads of oj, read books and hang out in the sitting room on the couch.

and take care of the kids?

Should moms stay home with their kids? I think they should . It's better for the family in my opinion. At least until they are in school full time. The American family is falling apart, and mothers working and dumping kids off in daycare is part of the problem. Absentee dads is also a huge problem...

What made you decide to be a Stay-at-home-Mom or Stay-at-home-Dad?I decided that I didn't want to miss the precious childhood years of my children, loving them and teaching them the only way a mother can. What was your reason?

Who should be the stay-at-home parent? Mother or father? And why?A good (girl) friend of mine has 2 very young children has just returned to work full-time whilst the children's father stays at home to care for them. As she earns a higher salary I can see it makes sense. It was going well until a...
