What herb or herbs have you used to treat a health issue?

Many people are turning to herbs as an alternative to allopathic drugs. Do you use herbs to treat any conditions for you or your family? What do you use, and why? Do you research the herb before using it?

I love Milk Thistle for my digestion, skin, and energy levels. It is especially helpful if you have to take medications because it optimizes your liver function. I've never had any adverse reactions and I've never read of any. Here's a link to my hub on it if you want to read further. http://grinnin1.hubpages.com/hub/holist … lk-thistle
