    I have Borderline Personality Disorder and for years I got horribly caught up in being oversensitive and over-emotional. I have successfully learned to manage my disorder, mainly by using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Neuro-linguistic Programming, both of which i now use to help others.

    I still get extremes of emotion, because it's in my biology, but now I enjoy the highs and cope with the lows, preventing myself from getting too sucked into them.

    The key is getting the tools and practising them at all times, until they become automatic, and managing yourself is less like work, and more something you do naturally.
