In a way, yes. I believe our expectations from life, when younger, are more and reduce as we grow older as we tend to achieve milestones on the way.

I think it does. I think you want and need less and are more appreciative of the things one really needs like family and good health.

Happiness comes from gratitude, appreciation, wisdom, and understanding... these are generally understood and accomplished with age, however, age is not the mandatory factor in developing them.

To me happiness comes with a piece of mind, no worries about the bills,
your children all grown and now it you and your spouse, and even if they is no husband/wife being older means being wiser, you try to avoid all the mistakes
you made when you were younger, so to me happiness come with age
it like becoming refreshed and renewed,

Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens , and i will give you rest, Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and genle, and you will find rest for your souls.

Happiness comes from within, deep down in the mind.
