    Is it better to exercise for many short periods of time or a few long periods of time?

    i think that it is important to exercise period. studies have shown that exercising for many short periods of time throughout the day can be just as beneficial as exercising once for a long period, perhaps even more so. as a matter of fact, my personal trainer says it's good to "mix it up" when exercising - alternating strength, endurance, and flexibility exercises. whatever you do, just get out and exercise!!
