how heavy are you? what's your height? If you want a quick way to reduce body weight, you need to exercise by jogging 3 x a week for 20 min per day, eat less meat, more vege and fruits and cut down all the snacks, potato chips etc.

There are three approaches to reducing body weight - diets, exercises, and medications. However, medications are the last resort. The overweight develops if you get more calories with food than you can burn. To reduce body weight you must burn more calories than you consume. To create effective weight loss plan, it is good to know your weight category calculating your Body Mass Index with

It's one thing to reduce "body weight," and it's another to reduce "body fat."  You definitely have to have a calorie deficit in order to lose body weight or body fat. You can do this by reducing your food intake as well as exercising.  However, the way you eat as well as the types of foods you eat also matter. Try sticking to all natural foods as they burn calories up to 50 percent faster than pre-packaged and processed foods. Make sure you balance your foods with protein, carbs (mostly fibrous veggies), and essential fats. Please read my hubs on how to lose body fat in the most efficient and effective ways... yet the healthiest ways.

Please understand, advises you get here are not what you need. This is your health you are talking about and seems like you have health conditions that creates restrictions to your options. Honestly, find someone who can not only give you advise but who will also take responsibility to guide you through the process of losing weight. Seek professional help.

I would love more information from you, because that would determine the advice I would give. If you only have a little weight to lose and have not struggled for a while with this, I am sure that someone else on this forum will answer very well.

Diets only work for 5% of people. You may be one it does work for, but for most of us, the overweight problem goes a lot deeper, and if this is true for you too, you may be an overeater or a food addict. This would be true for you if you have struggled with your weight for a while, and have tried diets and just put the weight back on, and perhaps even more.

If this is the case, you need to address the root cause of the problem, which is the way you think about food.

There is an excellent online weight loss program called "Get Thin for Good" that helps step by step with this - it's targeted towards food addicts and overeaters and may be able to help you too.
