Have you or someone you know experienced scabies?
What worked best for in you regards to treatment of symptoms? What steps did you take to eradicate the mites? How long did it last for you? We experienced a bout with it this fall and I'm just curious as to how others dealt with it?
My father got them a few years ago from his girlfriend at the time. His doctor gave him some topical medication for it, and it went away within a few weeks, if memory serves me.
It was probably Permetherin 5% cream! It is a pesticide and did, in fact, get rid of them with us as well. We did two treatments to be sure, but it was a quick and simple treatment that worked. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Unfortunately I can't help you out with personal experience, but I just wanted to add to the discussion that I've been reading reviews of sulfur soap and sulfur facial masks, because I'm looking for an anti-acne product for my teenagers. The reviewers of these products (especially the soaps) often state that the sulfur soap got rid of their scabies. Just thought that tidbit might be helpful.
Great information to share! Thanks for reading and sharing!
I have written a hub about this as well. If you have experienced scabies or are currently battling it, check out my hub for the things we did to eliminate these persistent critters!

This thread was not conceived and initiated as a commencement of finger pointing nor chastising, nor to char broil any one individual or group of persons to tenderized perfection over a white hot bed of flaming embers, it is however intended to be a "Heads Up" and potential learning tool...

To those near 60 years of age, have you ever experienced sciatica? If you experiencedsciatica, did you have intense, excruciating pain? Did you receive medical care and did the sciatica simply go away or is it recurring?
