Is it Safe to do Yoga for a Person Having High Blood Pressure?
Do you think Yoga could be beneficial for a person suffering from high blood pressure? I am asking this question, because Yoga is like a breathing exercise. Is Yoga safe for a person having high blood pressure then? What is your advice?
I am not an expert adviser but I think Yoga is a good exercise for people with high blood pressure. I have high blood pressure but I don't exercise a lot, I should do.
Yeah it actually helped me get mine lower and now am at a safe level without having to take any medications. Yoga is an excellent exercise
Yes. You may try nadi shuddi- the gentle alternate nostril breathing without retention-kumbhaka. Pranayama, i.e, with retention may be practiced with the guidance of an experienced yoga teacher. These two are excellent practices.
Sirasasana- head stand and sarvanga asana- shoulder stand should not be practiced since these two asanas increase the blood pressure!
Savasana is an excellent practice for many ailments for relaxation and releasing stress!
