How can one stay positive and happy around negative people?
All tips, suggestions and advice are welcome. Thank you.
It's really hard to. Everyone has their off days, but people who constantly belittle others are usually insecure and want to focus on others' faults so they don't feel so down about theirs.
Still, I think it's great to try and encourage and uplift people. A kind word or compliment can go a long way, and even if it doesn't, remember that ultimately their attitude is their responsibility, not yours.
Very well said, Jeremy! You are responsible for your own happiness. It can be really hard sometimes around negative people, huh, I know, but keep in mind that you are the creator of your life and how you respond is in your hands. If it triggers you somehow, try to find out why, and then 'fix' within yourself. You will hardly change someone, but being positive around negative is a good way to go - maybe someone will follow.
That can be done by neutralising the likes and hatred.
Seeing oneness or accepting the total as it is!.
When negative people try to create negativity, the best way is not to allow it inside! by accepting the total, it can be done easily!
Every one is part of the "Total". By thinking about a part which hurts, one is unable to accept oneself.
Let a person do what should be done at that particular situation.
Self acceptance is happiness!
