NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT INDEED
Selfishness has garnered an extremely negative reputation over the millennium. People were admonished by parents, society, & religious authorities to put themselves last while putting other first. Putting others first was viewed as noble while putting oneself first was seen as abhorrent. However, selfishness is quite normal. One is supposed to put himself/herself first. It is a sign of abnormality to put others first. Psychological studies have substantiated that selfish people are the happiest while people who put others first tend to be doormats & disrespected by others. Putting others first is a sign of abnormality. Selfishness is a good, even great thing. One must love & be concerned w/oneself. Your thoughts?
