Drink a lot of green tea.

I eat this Green Tea pill that really helps in burning fat. Well, at least, it worked for me.

        Beat me to it.

Green tea raises your metabolism which will help burn fat. (In addition to multiple other health benefits).

I don't think there are foods that burn fat. But maybe there are foods that speed up your metabolism, like some vegetables?

Just try eating lower calorie foods (no sugar, no fat) and you'll be skinnier.

the ? should of been "what foods help you burn fat." Water, oatmeal, nuts, fatty fish other foods with high efa counts to name a few. ITs more about calorie input/output, eating small meals spaced every 2-3hrs apart, the right kind of carbs at the right times and a good water intake.

I'm not sure that grapefruit actually burns fat, but it's one of the very few foods that it takes more calories to digest than are actually in the fruit itself.

Another great negative-calorie food (burns more calories than needed to burn itself) is cucumbers

Well, it doesn't burn fat specifically, but plain celery uses more calories to burn than it provides.

It is heavy on fiber and water.

You cannot eat a lot of celery, but cabbage is possible. Just do not put meat into it. Lots of cabbage cooked in water only, if you can stand it for long. Better moderate and refine your regular diet. Last week I ate a lot of cabbage soup, very delicious (but with a big mutton bone in it). big_smile

watermelon and rockmelon are duretics, also, if you eat yogurt instead of chocolate, you can keep ourself from over eating fat foods, yet, chocolate is said to be a good for other things.

Celery, carrots and lots of fruit and nuts and exercise, exercise, yet not too much. Exercise for fun and yourself. Your self body image is more important than what others think of your body image.

Eat six "small" meals evenly spaced during the day. Your daily total should be 50% non-starchy vegetables, 25% protein, and the balance a mixture of fruit, starch (potatoes, rice and pasta), dairy and fat (dairy or animal, not oil).

A woman should consume no more than 1600 calories. Eat a diet of your ideal weight. For example, if you want to weigh 130 lbs., then eat the small amount needed to maintain that weight, even if you weight 230 lbs. Your stomach will shrink in about 3 weeks and, at that time, you will feel satisfied with less food.

The above diet needs exercise, even if you can only walk in the beginning. As the weight comes off, then add dancing and other aerobics along with floor exercises to tighten the abdominal muscles and get that slim and fit appearance.

How come nobody ever says to eat lots of meat? Of all the things you eat, meat makes you feel the most full and stops your hunger.

It also is low in calories and high in protein. So how come nobdy recommends it? hmm

I'm with you on this one Bill.  Meat does fill you up and so you eat less, that's the Atkins diet in a nut shell.  I lost loads of weight this way and then altered my life style and regular diet to keep it off.  No getting away from it, eating and not getting lots of exercise makes you fat!!!!!!  Watching TV with a bucket of chicken every night, will make you fat.  It would take a lot of cucumbers to burn that lot off.  Fags also speed up your metabolism but they are not a food source and will kill you.  Sigh, sadly, food isn't the answer but just a part of it.

BTW I assume that is a typo up there "Fags also speed up your metabolism"

smile  I was of course referring to cigarettes, the dreaded weed, speeding up your metabolism.  But who knows, maybe the other kind does too!

Any raw fruit or vegetable will burn fat. I'm on the low fat raw food diet and I lose wieght even if I eat 7000 calories in one day (well I did that once, my daily calories are more around 3500 I believe).
