What a nice thing to say. Thank you couturepopcafe.
Cool! Have you tried homemade sweet potato fries?
Fried food are less healthy than boiled one.though boiled foods are not at all tasty but for a long lasting healthy diet ,i think its best.So we should to have less fried food as much as you can.
It depends on what you fry the food in.
Stick to coconut oil or palm oil and don't exceed the smoking point.
If you do that you'll be fine and it can actually be healthy!
One other tip for healthier fries or potato wedges is - the larger you cut the potato pieces the less fat they absorb from their surface i.e. a potato cut into small fries/chips absorb more fat than the same potato cut into larger pieces.
BTW.
I never deep fry, I cook them in a shallow pan on top of the stove or spread out in a tray in the oven, with a light coating of olive oil on them (olive oil is a mono-saturate oil).
it may taste good but it is better grilled. OR you can eat it, just not in excess.
Fried food are no doubt tasty. We can eat fried foods also but ones in a blue moon.Continuous intake of this kind of foods can cause so many health problems including excess fat, heart problem, cholesterol, eye problem etc.
But boiled foods are too much healthy. And when you will start having it regularly, automatically we will forget about fried foods.
It does not really matter, ladies and gentlemen, what cooking oil you actually use. Cooked oil changes its structure and its usefullness. It's just some oils burns faster than others, that's it. if you want a healthy meal - do not cook it! Eat it raw or boiled/steamed. There is no way you can make frying healthy, unless you are doing it on a grill with an open natural fire(real wood) without any oils as our wild acestors did.

Do you still deep fry, and if so - what region are you from?Wondering if anyone still deep fries in this supposed age of diet and health awareness. Also wondering if the regions that do are also the regions most associated with obesity.

How do you like your french fries? Small and crispy or thick & meaty? Skins on or off? It's election season. With all the weighty questions burdening us, I liked Avianvoice's question about mayo, mustard & ketchup. A small controversy in our house is over little crispy french fries (her)...

Are french fries considered a vegetable? Some say that fried potatoes are not vegetables. I say that's a bunch of poppy cock. Just because a vegetable is fried does not mean it's not a veggie. What are your thoughts?
