Both my Grandmothers are deceased but I would recommend one of those jumbo TV remotes or maybe a nice pair of houseshoes, I think that when you get older anything that makes you more comfortable is nice and those would be 2 affordable options, Not to change the subject but my grandmother gave me a nice gift about 10 yrs after she had died, when I got married my mother gave me a quilt that my grandmother had handmade for me and told my mother that when I got married to give it to me and my wife, I have it on a quiltrack in my bedroom ;0) that is so much like my grandmother she always thought ahead and of others, I miss her terribly
Hi Anamika. I don't know if I have any suggestions for a 'green gift' for grandmothers in particular. I just go along with the usual green ideas for our environment: less paper, recycling, etc.
We recycle our paper, plastic, glass and aluminum. I recycle any plastic bags I get back to the store or other places, (i.e. library) who may need them for patrons books.
I'm a real 'bag' lady. I love the canvas bags and there are a 'ton' out there to choose from. Love the ones with the multipockets. Helps when I go to work (nurse) or carry my writing to the library.
Hope this helps.

My dad is one of those men in their fifties that regardless of whether he gets a five-pack of socks or a hot-air balloon ride, he has the same reaction; "That's grand, thanks very much for that now."Despite the fact that I've been his proud daughter for 24 years, I am yet to figure out...
