Going away for New Years. I can't stand hosting festivities. Then I get paranoid and anxiety. My family would go even worse if they were stuck in my house.

I will attempt to. Have a great Christmas and New Years!

I'm awaiting my brother's schedule before I know whether his family and I are meeting at our parent's house for Christmas, otherwise I spend Christmas morning helping out at my local dog shelter, which is always enjoyable and the afternoon in the company of my own dogs - so the only festivities I host are for them and it's fair to say that doesn't amount to much!

Nettlemere, either way, it sure sounds like a winner.

I am making a lovely dinner here at home. We are having two men over who are having a hard time and have no family. So they will have Thanksgiving with us. I am excited.

Brenda, that is wonderful.  Not only that, it gives you the chance to perhaps jump-start someone else's life.  Bravo!
