How soon do you start planning for Valentine's Day?
When do you (and your household) typically start planning for Valentine's Day? Do you start buying cards and candy when they first appear in the stores or do you wait until the last minute? If you are ordering flowers, how many days in advance do you do this? When do you make restaurant reservations if you are going out to dinner? (Photo is from my Valentine's Day Pictures Hub.)
I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't generally buy cards or whatever (maybe some chocolate, though). If I do do something special for Valentine's Day I plan it the way I would plan a regular social outing like a cinema trip or something, so maybe a week or two in advance.
Hi Emma! I notice you are from Sweden. Do many people in Sweden even celebrate Valentine's Day?
Valentine's Day seems to have gotten bigger over the years, but I don't think it's as big as in the US. Generally only couples tend to really care and go out on dates; having parties or other events isn't too common.
Usually, I start planning the week leading up to Valentine's Day. I order flowers/balloons, purchase cards, chocolates, etc., I start thinking on what restaurant to have dinner that night and plan accordingly. I don't like waiting to the last minute to get things in order, although, I have in the past and kicked myself, it sure takes the fun out of it.

How did you celebrate Valentine's Day as a single person? Some people party, some people feel sorry for themselves. Personally, I eat all the discounted chocolate that I can. What about you?
