Boring Christmas Day. What are your plans?

Tomorrow is Christmas Day, had to cook which I thought I could get a day off. No parents visiting and our household never had guests. Going to be a boring Christmas. What are your plans for tomorrow?

Spend time with family and friends, and go to church to worship Jesus Christ, the reason for the season. Then we will open gifts!

My husband and I will be spending a quiet Christmas.  We are relaxing, enjoying each other's company, and having ribs and potato salad for our dinner.

Feels like you perceive Xmas as something entertaining. But the birth of Christ cannot be boring or funny. Just praise the Lord and enjoy being alive.

A most wonderful day indeed. We will have a relatively quiet Christmas since 3/3 of our brats are out-of-state for the 1st time...
I will begin the day by reading the Liturgy of the Hours followed by walking our two gods (backwards) on the wooded trail adjacent our subdivision.
I will then gently awaken my Aine true love and we will begin the day with a most beautiful "breakfeast" and the unveiling of stockings and the opening of presents. That is, after my cladistine operation of sneaking her solid carved teak chair into the house with her not knowing.
Mass is at 10 a.m. Since my grandson will be with us (no Midnight Mass this year). There will be many phone calls and brunch at my wonderful in-laws followed by present exchange and roast turkey, ham too many vegetables (including my favorite vegetable, the significantly unknown and exquisite parsnips), yes I did say parsnips. There will be enough dressing (stuffing) to float to China and enough gravy to flood Florida.
The evening will be a movie viewing of an All American WW II hero's tenacious story of triumph. A man that recently passed on. After the movie I am hoping for uninterrupted time with my Aine true love...

It is basically a normal day. I do not consider it a busy day, just routine.

I am from a family of 9 children.  I had four of my sisters coming to our         home this year in Florida, along with their spouces and children.  It was such an awesome time together.  Yes I did cook for everybody.  From the meal, to baked goods and pies.  The tradition in my family is we attend a light show at a local park, and my sisters families were in awe of the spectacular lights in every shape, and many bright colors.  We stopped for a cup of hot chocolate, as it was cool and windy in Florida.  Peachpurple, you never have guests, can I ask why?  Do you have small children, that is what makes it special? I was lost in the moment of the times as children, when we were all together and we filled the house with family. I had no time to get bored.  What did  you cook for your Christmas meal?  It is all about the Birth of our Lord, can you give him at least an hour each day. He has blessed us with so much, this is our time to give back and thank him for all his many blessings!

You sound like you have a nice family. socializing, especially with family is important, but It is ok, if  you are ok with it. We are all different.  Seven years of age, that is a sweet time. I loved my son when he was 4 as they are very inquisitive.

      dear susan,
my family is anti social, they hate to mix with other people especially relatives. I prefer to mix around. my son is lonely because all his cousins are teens, so nothing to be cheerful about
