Thanks for the suggestions, but I really did have a full roster of ghost stories on Hulu already planned. I've already seen everything you mentioned, except the Friday the 13th series, which is more slasher than ghost story.
Taking my 3 year old out for a bit (I don't expect her to do much trick or treating yet) and then staying home and enthusiastically handing out candy! This is the first year in about 8 years that we've lived in an area that gets lots of trick or treaters so I'm actually quite looking forward to it.
I live in Japan so it's already Nov 1st here. I did nothing nor did I have any plans to do anything on Halloween.
Japan doesn't celebrate Halloween but Japanese companies big and small have been working hard to change that, especially this year. There's no shortage of stores selling candy and decorations, Halloween themed commercials / TV shows and stuff like that.
I don't care (everyone's gotta make their money) but it irks my gf. She's Japanese so she sees Halloween as some kind of threat to traditional Japanese culture. She has no problems with Valentine's Day or Christmas though.
I am ensconced in my home listening to 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s music and DANCING MY SOCKS OFF. This 61 year old woman is HAVING QUITE A GRAND TIME. I even ordered some Halloween swing & jazz records for next Halloween to groove to.
