I Will Find Me~Poem
I Will Find Me
Darkness comes before the light I see
Unwrapping blame to find forgiveness
New look, fresh start and perhaps bravery
Through it all, can I find me?
Shining light rays heal hurt that’s buried deep
Reclaiming scattered pieces of my heart
Mending segments back together is quite tiring
When the moment comes, how do I find me?
Knowing the spoken word, I do believe
Smiling as a ruffled tail bird sings
Children’s eyes hold the beauty of everything
I could have it all, if I could find me.
Small steps on sharp stones tear at gentle feet
Pick a star each night and admire all it has seen
Laughing heaps with friends makes lasting memories
If I get lost out there, where do I find me?
I know what I want but, only half of what I need
Sympathize with cosmos drying tears from the moon
Don’t step back they scream, time doesn’t stop
I crave unearthing the answers. When will I find me?
Leaving the past where it belongs, could it hold the key?
The rising sun gives me today, maybe the whole thing
Climb mountains low then high a goal I perceive
I wonder what I will see, when I find me?
