Which of these do you prefer, a sunrise or a sunset and why
or do you like both of them equally? I seem to like sunsets but that is because I rarely see a sunrise:)
yeah I agree, I like sunrises
They're pretty beautiful
SAME, it's difficult to see a sunrise.. So I like sunset better. But they have different effect to me. Sunrise feels like a motivation to me while sunset has a romantic feel.
Sunrise is an angel visiting. Life become more interesting, beautiful, and vital. Sunset is like the Devil coming and we all ran into our houses to hide. Being sure that the windows and doors were secured, we safely rest in bed, until sunrise again. This is the original ding dong! ding dong!
both
I love sunsets in the arms of the one you love and as the last rays kiss goodnight to the night sky, the play of colors are amazing.
I love sunrises because it always makes me appreciate being alive. As the first rays of the morning sun caresses my face I'm thankful for a new day, with new possibilities, new opportunities to get my swagger on!
I prefer the sunset when I have done sufficiently good for the day; I prefer the sunrise when I have nightmares.
I really cannot make up my mind. Sunrise can be very interesting with fog. Sunset can be very dramatic when there are great clouds.
I am a morning person, and prefer sunrises. However, as a photographer, I like sunsets which are invariably more dramatic in my part of the world - New Zealand.
That's actually a pretty hard question. I've seen more sunrises than sunsets, but I think I prefer sunsets. Sunsets are the most beautiful, not sure why, but sunrises do a much better job of forcing my thinking hat on my head, which is why I get up super early every day to write. This photo is a low-tide shot on Phi Phi Island.
Well, I like both,
Sunrise is when you wake and are ready to enjoy the beautiful day , sunset is so very beautiful especially in a romantic setting, love the colors of them too, not one is ever the same either.
Both!
- A sunrise because its so crisp and fresh for the eyes.
- A sunset because it is so soothing to watch after a hard day's of work...
Mother Nature did think of everything...
I even wrote a poem 'On Sunset' in 1997 as the sunset gave me so much peace...Hope you like it!

I like sunrise because it signals a new day and new opportunities. It is a renewable fresh start.
I have had the pleasure of enjoying some amazing sunsets and some incredible sunrises as well. Although I like sunsets a lot, there is nothing comparable to watching the sun come up. My favorite sunrises have been while climbing mountains. Great question!
Sunset. I'm much more of a night owl... so seeing a sunset is exciting. It means my night is just beginning.
Look's like I'm going to have to set aside a time to see a sunrise:)
I'm going to cheat and choose both:
Sunrise- for dawning promises, the golden beginnings and the challenge of the day ahead.
Sunset: for the dusky invitations, the twilight whispers and the possibilities of the night ahead.
It is like the yin and yang. The light and dark. Together they create a balance.
sunrise is the start of something new, the possibility that you will meet every possibility the day holds since you've been there from the start. you cannot miss anything that may be in store for you on that day if you are up before the sun. you are the first to see the sun tentatively cast its glow over the horizon line, so it's yours. for the whole of that day, the sun belongs to you.
i'll go for sunset for i wake up late in the afternoon, ;-)
I prefer a SUNRISE
Reason : I believe in freshness and new opportunities which come with the new day
I adore both. I love the sunrise, pale pink and grey skys, birdsong and the dew, wondering what the new day will bring.
Sunset, dark sometimes stormy clouds with that vivid red sky dancing flames on the horizon. Beauty in both of them.
sunrise is better than set.
bcos that time we feel fresh, silence and so on..
Before I became a parent, Sunset would have been the answer without a doubt. I rarely see Sunrise if I can help it. But, now I have kids to get me out of bed early, I still prefer Sunset. Not because it's now the start of my night owl activities, but because it means I can finally get to bed!
I Like the sunset, i like the color of the sky on a sun set. I hate sun rise because it tells me that i have to get out of bed, I enjoy my sleep too much.
i think should be sunset because The skin is remaining soft shined, and fair hehhehehe
I like sunset, I like sunrise
I like it all, I think it's wise
I like to watch the birds in fly
I like... I don't know why...
I'm just that kind of a girl
Who likes what's beautiful and all...
I'm not an early bird myself
So sunset is when I meet my Elf,
Sunrise is when I often sleep,
But then sometimes I hear beep
That comes from a neighbor's wake up call
That's when I see sunrise and all... )
sunset. I'm a night owl and it means that the fun's about to start.
sunrise is would like to prefer because ... sunrise is the symbol of victory..... sunrise makes we passionate... sunrise gives us new start for everyday....
sunrise's are beautiful if you ever catch one, in my trips and in my old job back when i was a kid* paper route , anyways reason why bc once the sun hits the sky and you see the mountian in the back drop its somethign else . i dont really know how else to describe it .
Sunsets. The day's done; your road is run. You can rest, bandage the wounds you've sustained, and pray the morning never comes.
I like both of them equally, however it is easier for me to take pictures of the sunsets as I am not always up early enough to catch the sunrises, especially when travelling
I like the sunrise , because it brings in new promising hopes in our life.
I'm never awake early enough for a sunrise so it's definitely going to be sunset for me! I love watching the sun go down at the end of a day especially on vacation when you can sit on the balcony overlooking the beach and the sea, glass of wine in hand, and take some memorable photos.
I prefer a sunset. I don't do mornings! I love sleeping late, drinking coffee, and waking up slowly.
I get up early every day, usually around 5 or 5:30 a.m. so I see sunrises and sunsets often. Things just seem more peaceful in the morning when the sun comes up over the horizon. I am a lover of both sunrises and sunsets, but I have more of an attraction to sunrises.
I love them both! I am not certain that I would be comfortable picking just one of them.
I would prefer sunrise because the level of energized we feel at that hour is incomparable. Sunrise shows that after every dusk there is a dawn! It is when nature welcomes all. It is a very beautiful phase to look up to and learn.
For me it doesn't matter, both are equal, a sunset will bring the new sunrise knowingly that sunrise will end up into the sunset
If I had to chose I would have to say the sunset simply because I witness them more, but I love the sunrise just as much. They both have their own special qualities that make them equally amazing. With the sunrise, you are up as the world is waking up, everything is peaceful and quiet. With a sunset, there is a sense of adventure, you are watching as the world begins to go to sleep and it's more likely that you are out there with friends or family.
Both are equally important and one cannot happen without the other. But I do love sunset as it marks the closing of yet another of life's battle. Being able to witness it once more, every day, is a testament that you were able to survive. It is also a time to contemplate and reflect on things that have been through and plan for the new day to come.

Just a wee question to anyone who has the time..... sunrises? Does anyone have a particular sunrise that stays in mind? (it doesn't have to be particularly spectacular) Or an early morning that is memorably (in a positive way)And also, for anyone who doesn't like mornings can you...
