Have you ever written a childrens book ?
I am starting a writing course to write a childrens book & wondered how many of you had written one or have ideas for a childrens book ?
I met people at the writers festival who had them published !
Yes, but I've never had one published. It's not something that I'm pursuing at this point, but I've had fun writing them in the past.
Yes, a couple. One was self-published (not through a commercial self-publisher) and has earned more than we paid to have it printed, promoted and shipped-- it still gets sales on Amazon.
I have a few hubs on the subject, if you can't find them, email me through HubPages.
Also Look for hubber DonnaCSmith. She has a couple of historical based books for young readers through a publisher.
I wrote a series of 10 children's books for my thesis in college. Unfortunately, I've yet to get them published. It was eye-opening learning my way through age and audience appropriateness, though! And I still have high hopes of getting them published in the future. I hope you have fun with your course.
I self published a short children's book called "Heaven is the Universe" and I also put it on Hubpages for people to read.

I have also put another short story for children on my Hubpages called "The Chinese Kitchen" feel free to read them they may give you some ideas.
Just one so far. I teamed up with my 80 year old mother to write 'Hannah and the Tabby Cat'. In a nutshell it's about a young adopted girl and her stray cat wondering where they really belong. After saving the life of a neighbor she discovers she is special. Believe it or not it's still on sale in Kindle format at Amazon.com

Of all the material you have ever written, what is your favorite piece? What was the subject matter? Outside of drive and determination, did one of your traits, specifically, contribute to its completion?

What do you do when everything you have ever written has been voted down on the same day? I do not mind negative feedback, but.... really? plus there are no comments....
