Yes, but I've never had one published.  It's not something that I'm pursuing at this point, but I've had fun writing them in the past.

Yes, a couple. One was  self-published (not through a commercial self-publisher) and has earned more than we paid to have it printed, promoted and shipped-- it still gets sales on Amazon.
I have a few  hubs on the subject, if you can't find them, email me through HubPages.

Also Look for hubber DonnaCSmith. She has a couple of historical based books  for young readers through a publisher.

I wrote a series of 10 children's books for my thesis in college. smile Unfortunately, I've yet to get them published. It was eye-opening learning my way through age and audience appropriateness, though! And I still have high hopes of getting them published in the future. I hope you have fun with your course. smile

Just one so far.  I teamed up with my 80 year old mother to write 'Hannah and the Tabby Cat'.  In a nutshell it's about a young adopted girl and her stray cat wondering where they really belong.  After saving the life of a neighbor she discovers she is special.  Believe it or not it's still on sale in Kindle format at Amazon.com

    Who knew....
