Do you have an international pen pal?

If so, how long have you been communicating?  How did you find your pen pal?

No, but I wish I did in a way. It'd be nice to know someone of a far different culture.

Great question-no, I don't have an international pen pal per say, however, I consider all of my international Hubber friends my 'pen pal' and love staying in contact with them, several who have written privately and whose details of their lives have been shared.

I recently told a friend of mine that it is wonderful to know so many people around the world...and I feel that if I were traveling I would be able to contact anyone of them for a visit.

Technically, not a pen pal. More of a facebook pal. He lives in India and is studying research medicine. We communicate every few days.

I have the same answer as Denise Handlon -  that I consider all my hubber and Facebook friends from distant countries my pen pals. I think the concept of pen pals after the introduction of the internet is not very popular these days.

I used to have a friend in Canada when I was a child. I don't know what happened, but we lost touch over the years. Now that you've reminded me of this, maybe I'll try and get back in touch with her!

I started having International Pen Pals when I was 12 years old. I had pen pals from USA ( Minnesota ), Finland, New Zealand, The Netherlands andTunisia. It was through a world pen pal organisation for a small fee. I got to meet my New Zealand friend some 10 years later when I traveled there for a holiday, which was incredible!
