What is your biggest motivator for writing?
What more than anything else helps keep you motivated to continue writing?
Knowing that what I write actually touches people is what keeps me motivated to continue writing... Writing is also my passion so that's another reason why I will never stop writing or writing & publishing books.
Writing is my easiest form of communication. I can have trouble verbalizing what I want to say and trying to get it out before someone interrupts me has always been a problem. With writing I can lay out my opinion, or story, tweak it, perfect it etc. It is much easier for me than talking.
That sounds just like me, duffsmom. I know our current society loves to interrupt, but I'm not like that. I will let others speak, and then I don't get what I want out. So, writing is much easier for me too. I can better explain myself this way.
For me, writing is therapy. It is an outlet that allows me to explore while integrating my creativity as much as possible. The comments that I give and receive also help me to stay motivated. I learn so much from reading what others have to say and love that I am receiving comments about my work as well.
Motivation comes from my readers. Their encouragement to keep writing is really all I need. It's amazing what a kind word of praise will do to give one strength to keep trying harder. I love to write, but I know I m very much in beginners mode.
My biggest motivator for writing is my passion to help people in my field of nutrition. I see the epidemic of overweight, obesity, and health issues, and it motivates me to help others. I find that people seem to grasp more with reading, so I allow my gift of writing to help. Though I currently write non-fiction, I would love to write for myself one day. I would love to share my experiences as a mom of an adult autistic child. I would even love to did into my imagination and write fiction stories.
Writing and informing my readers of something new and by just knowing how they enjoy reading and commenting on my work it makes me feel great. To satisfy the reader in reading of a unique idea or topic. I continue writing when I know I am doing a good job letting my thoughts and ideas out to my readers.

For example with word transferring, if I'm typing too fast I often type 'there' instead of 'their' and so on. My biggest strength I guess is that I love...

Are you a writer who reads or a writer who doesn't read?Almost every article on how to become a good writer emphasizes the necessity to read, read, read. I am not a reader per se; I can't sit down with a novel and almost never read purely for enjoyment. I get all of my information from...

How to maintain your concentration while you are writing? While I am writing, I can not have words spoken anywhere near me. Music has to be instruemental, I can't listen to podcasts, and I can't have a conversation with anyone around me as I end up typing the wrong word, losing my focus, or simply...
