   I haven't ruled out writing here again. But it doesn't seem worth it at present. The decline in views and earnings seems unrelenting.
   
   The editors continue to plug away but it certainly hasn't helped so far.

   Yes Medium is fantastic. I just got a payment of four cents. I don't know what to do with such unexpected wealth. Clearly, it's not a place where my kind of stuff does well. As an old newshound, I'm not comfortable doing personal experience stories.
   
   Anyway, it was only a week or two ago that they decided to ban AI writing.
   
   So, I'm stuck with HubPages, because I don't see any other outlet. I'll keep on writing here and hope for better days, recognizing that hope is not a good strategy.

      Yes, it's sad. The internet was such an exciting place 13 or 14 years ago for writers looking to earn. New opportunities were popping up all the time. Now it seems like there are few choices and sites like Medium and HP are in decline.

      Hmmm, dont  a lot of sites have a "Buy Rupert a coffee"? Medium must not be one of them. I can only imagine what coffee you could get for 4 cents!

   Tough times for sure, but I do think the way they are formatting the articles with all the ads are partly responsible for the fall off. It looks really bad. Hopefully they'll figure this out. I could be wrong though?
