As a professional writer, What is it that motivates you to write when you have deadline to compete with?
That's a good question. I usually can't jump right into anything I am writing for clients. I have to sit an think about the requirements for a day or two and suddenly an idea of how to best tackle the assignment will come to me. For instance, if I have a seven-day deadline. I may not actually start writing until day three....but will usually finish it the same day, so actually deliver early on most occasions.
