I'm going to assume that you want me to describe the effects of perceiving the color red, not looking at red as if it were a person or interacting as a person with its own observable personality traits and disorders.
The color red: When I perceive the color red my first thought is of a room. This room smells faintly of roses, and a woman brushes my shoulder gently as she passes; letting her hand run down my chest she takes me by the tie and turns toward me with a smile.
She is wearing a carnivale-esque Venetian mask, it is a Bauta style in black, but her black eyeliner makes her gorgeous grey-blue eyes contrast perfectly even in the dim lighting of this room. The bed is gaudy, a giant heart shape draped with burgundy silk sheets and a folded black comforter adorning the foot of the thing.
I can't stand this room, it makes me uncomfortable, but this beautiful woman is difficult to resist. I see red, I become red, I am as red as this lustful room.
Red is passion, sex, and unbridled emotion.
Then again you sort of made this unfair because of the woman in the picture causing me to have pre-associations with the gender I am most often attracted to. Not to mention every song and story to ever use red as a symbol for exactly what I associated it with. Immediately when I read the question I heard, "I got my red dress on tonight, dancing in the dark in the pale moonlight...."
