This is something that happens...value of our vehicles does not hold up.

I've found that Toyota pays the most for their vehicles, but they have a hefty price tag.

They do keep more value than others.

I'm just thankful that you and your wife are Okay.

A car payment is little to pay compared to your well being.

Hug one another...you will make it through this too.

I know what it is like, having a car written off and not getting enough for an equal replacement. I had a Toyota Rav 4 stolen and written off, but couldn’t get a car anywhere near as good. Fortunately we were given a another old vehicle by a family member. We decided to use the insurance money to go on a cruise. Fortunately that was before COVID. Thanks for sharing Dream On.

      John
Now that sounds like a winning situation.
      Cruise & a car.

Years ago we also had a car totaled, and had to buy another one when we had intended to keep the Cougar for many more years.  We really liked that car!

A college student had his mind elsewhere when he ran into my husband's car that was stopped on a freeway due to traffic.  He was going fast enough that it caused my husband's car to plough into the one ahead, and so forth.  Ultimately, 5 cars were impacted!

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.  I guess that is the best takeaway from your experience and ours.

Jodah We were lucky to find another car like the one we had. This 2012 Nissan Sentra was $8,000. So we will have a smaller car payment than a new car payment. We drive a lot of miles. So the car depreciates so fast. We are both doing well. Thank you for your own personal story. Have a great day. BRENDA ARLEDGE We looked at Toyota's they were out of our price range. I appreciate all the tips. Thank you for all your blessings. We are both doing all we can. Hope you are doing better. Have a fun afternoon.

Glad to hear you found another car.
No worries...you two will be fine.
