Dean tells us it doesn't matter what we write on...even if the paper has coffee stains because the idea has to be jotted down.

    Dean
    You are so right.
I'm glad you kept that notebook.

    This is a great poem.

I've scribbled on napkins or anything else I could grab.
If we don't jot it down, we lose it.

I enjoyed reading Dean's piece. When I was a college student I used to write many things along with the notes. My teachers have punished me several times for doing this. They probably had no idea they were punishing a future writer-Ha! wink big_smile

Thank you so much for writing this piece, Dean and thanks a lot, Bredz for creating this forum.

    Blessings to both of you!!

I enjoyed this poem by Dean, and can relate. I used to writer, scribble, and doodle on anything that could be written on...then keep it, just in case I may use it in future. Coffee stains are nothing.

I am just like you Dean. My writing space is filled with notes of all types. Ideas jotted down which may take days to materialize as articles. Some never see the light of day. But yes, jotting down ideas is important.
