    This is a poem that stands the test.
    We often make excuses about the cleanliness of our homes.
    We treat others with kid gloves, but iften don't exert that kindness to ourselves.
    Great write.

    Val makes some very good points (as he always does) in this poem. I can relate. When we know visitors are expected we rush around cleaning and tidying and make sure everything looks presentable. But we often don't give ourselves the same respect.

      I remember when I was a little gal, my mother would put up towels in our bathroom that we for only guests.
      We were not allowed to touch them...they were just to make the bathroom look good.
