Bredz, I enjoyed reading all of your lovely poems. Great job as always! I especially loved the following lines from your second poem, you have described it so well in very few words and I loved it.

      “Forgiveness is easy,
      forgetting is hard,
      memories flash back,
two people drift apart.” ~ Brenda Arledge.

All of your poems were enjoyable to read. I also loved the quotes and videos. Thank you so much for sharing.

Blessings and Lots of Love as Always! smile

        Misbah
        Thanks!

Those lines hit home with me when I wrote that poem.
People drift apart...those memories bounce back & forth making fogetting too hard.

        Enjoy your day.

        There's those memories again...
They flash back so there has to be a great purpose.

      Hi Brenda!
You have touched the most important points about this word prompt. I agree with your thoughts.
Forgiveness cannot mend, but still we must forgive to set ourselves free.
This is also true that it's easier to forgive  but difficult to forget.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful response to the word prompt.
Thank you Misbah for sharing this in the forum.
Both of you, enjoy the day.

        Chitrangada
        Thank you.
I agree that no matter how hard it is we must forgive.
If not, we are trapped forever in an endless cycle.

The last video I shared shows a woman & entire family who forgives the person who took their daughter's life in a traffic accident where the driver was drunk.

There are some situations that are hard to forgive like the one depicted in my poem.

That was actually a true event, where the brother was left babysitting the children.
It was years ago...but I still think about it from time to time.

        Glad you enjoyed my work.

Thank & have a great day.

      Thank you.

So glad you think they are good.

We're getting ready for our first snowstorm of the year...unless by some chance it slides past us.

            Vidya
            Thank you.
Sorry for not responding...I guess that cookie monster was hiding a few comments from me.

The snowstorm wasn't too bad.  We have 2 to 3 inches, but we had freezing rain before that hit.
So no doubt, there's ice underneath the lovely white blanket.

I haven't ventured outside.  I've been totally out of energy today, but I should go clean off the vehicles in case we need them.

Memories do flash anytime.  .both the good  & the bad.

I loved your forgiveness verses. A wonderful response to your word prompt. I  became aware that sometimes matters are far off so worse that no forgiveness can mend. Very impressive verses indeed, Brenda.

Thank you, Misbah, for sharing Brenda's work.

They say Forgiveness is neccessary, but honestly I don't know how some people manage when faced with something so horrible.

If we could only be more like Jesus.
