Poetry: Single Word Prompt; Breakfast Menu, Onboard Fare; Norwegian Sights and Lights; Variations of Breakfast
Take time to read Ann's wonderful article about her trip to see the Northern Lights, and please enjoy her poetry about breakfast, which is in response too Brenda'a prompt.
Ann never disappoints. The poem about breakfast had me laughing. The photos were wonderful and delicious to look at. But there is one more reason why Ann's work is so greatly appreciated by me: she excels with the English language. Her love of language shines through with each of her writings, and it is a pure joy to read anything that she writes.
I love it. I never had salmon for breakfast, but it sounds like it would good.
Hi Pamela,
You forgot to insert the link to Ann's article. I found it in the feed and came back here to comment. That was a fantastic trip, Ann! Seeing the northern lights would be such a treat! The vast array of breakfast items aboard ship was also a treat. Count me in on those scrambled eggs and salmon! Yum!

Your poem "Breakfast Menu" certainly gives meaning to Time to Rise.
So many choices, what to decide, but start out with a good breakfast.
It's strange how certain foods remind us of times when we were younger like eating breakfast with your Mom & Dad.
It does seem each country has it's favorite breakfast.
Is that beans on the breakfast plate? I've never had beans for breakfast.
Your poem "Norwegian Sights and Lights" shows us the awesome sights while aboard the ship.
Awe...to see tjose Northern Lights must have been a wonderful experience. One you will never forget.
"Onboard Fare" shows us your breakfast choices each day on the ship.
Sounds like too many choices for one day. Salmon for breakast...that's a new one for me.
I honestly don't care much for it, but I can't imagine it as a breakfast treat.
If herrings are sardines, I'll pass on those too.
As you can figure out by now...I'm not much of a fish eater unless it's a fish stick or pattie.
This article suits the word prompt & I'll post a link.
Your trip sounds so awesome. I'm glad you got to enjoy it.
We wanted to take a cruise, but since Covid-19 hit those plans are shelved for now.
Ann, I love your article prompted by "breakfast." I now have a new appreciation for breakfast! You have expanded my palette of choices and enjoyment for a rich and healthful morning meal. You also reminded me of foods my mother would have us eat like the jarred herrings in vinegar (so good!). My mother migrated from Jamaica to Canada, lived/worked with a family where she had British influences for trying and preparing different foods.
Your poetry is wonderful. I especially love the Norwegian trip poem and the photographs. Thank you for this rich offering. Thanks for posting, Pamela and Brenda.
Ann has created a lovely article. She's described some delicious breakfast foods in her poetry, and she's shared some great photos and information about her trip to Norway. The combination produces a very interesting article.
