Please take some time to read Rosina’s short story

    Hello Rosina!
I liked reading your short story, inspired by a prompt. It’s good that Gianna survives the terrible accident, and would recover completely from the physical shock. However, it takes time to recover from the mental trauma.
Thank you for sharing this nice story.

Thank you, Chitrangada, for sharing the link to my story. Gianna not only had shock of the accident but her whole body had to be bandaged from head to foot because of many fractures all over, which takes time to heal until today for proper coordinated movements. I am pleased you enjoyed the story. Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing this very true to life story, Chitrangada. I say "true-to-life" because I was once in Gianna's shoes or should I say "bed"? I wasn't bandaged nor did I spend six months in the hospital, but my spine was cracked and my sternum was broken in two. I have never recovered 100%. The accident left me disabled. But life goes on, and I learned that one can still write and hold down a job as an editor even with a spinal injury. I'm just thankful that I wasn't in a job that required standing on my feet all day, like a nurse or a waitress. Life does go on even after a snakebite day.

Doris, my story is a true one indeed although I haven't said it explicitly. I know a family for real who has gone through the snakebitten day. I am touched and moved by your side of the story. It's good you found a job where you could sit and work and also write and made your life meaningful inspite of the harsh injury. Yes, I agree life does go on after a snakebitten day.

Your story is a very good response to the prompt, Rosina The fact that Gianella survived is amazing. The accident had to be so serious. At least with therapy she recovered enough to be a mother and wife for her family.

Thank you for posting Rosina's story Chitrangada.

I am happy that you liked the response to the prompt, Pamela. Yes, the accident was severe but the Almighty helped her to survive with care from doctors and her close family. Your comments are much appreciated. Have a great day!

You are improving as a storyteller. I just wish I could convince you to not rush through a story so quickly. It is perfectly acceptable to have two or three chapters to a short story, which allows you to flesh out your characters and properly set scenes. smile

Glad to know I am improving as a storyteller. I will try to expand my story longer to go in more depth about characters and scenes. Thanks for commenting, Bill.

A nice short story, Rosina. I agree with Bill, though, that you could develop it more and give the characters a little more depth. Good work though.

    Hi Rosina,
Your story proves that our lives and those around us can change in an instant.  In your story Gianna does survive, but it was undoubtedly hard on her family as she slowly recovered from the car accident.  Thanks for sharing her story, Chitrangada.

This is a nice story, Rosina. I am glad Gianna was able to recover from that terrible accident though it had been very hard for her and her family. She was patient and always stayed strong. I liked reading this. Thank you for sharing.

I am happy, Ankita, you enjoyed the story. Yes, Gianna was patient and strong, which helped her to recover almost fully. She continues her journey until today and has to do some exercises for head and body for the sake of coordinted movements. Thank you so much for commenting.
