I loved all of your poems, Brenda. There was so much truth in them. I really liked the Baby Boomers and actually each poem. As always, they were all a pleasure to read.

      Thanks so much Pamela.
I'm glad you enjoyed these...as A Baby Boomer we learned to respect the rules & had our independence by doing so.

The neighborhood always knew what we did even if our parents didn't.   Guess that was the advantage of a small village.

Wonderful Poems, Brenda. The poems are brilliant, and each focuses on reality, the gap between each generation, the change in perspective, lifestyle and ways of thinking. The gap is real and will never go away. Perhaps it is best to make peace with it and move on. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing Brenda's work, Pamela.

      Ravi...
      Thank you.

I don't know if each generation really knows how to make peace with it...I think there are times they try, but ultimately Fail.

I'm so glad you liked each one of these.

      Thank you John.

It turned out to be a bit larger than I had planned & some ideas I had thought about didn't get written.

That's the way my muse goes sometimes.

    Hello Brenda!
Excellent response on the word prompt, generation. You have touched upon many points, through your creativity. I liked all your poems.
Generation gap is a reality, and there is no doubt about it.
I am a curious learner, and I belong to that generation, which has seen the most transitions, especially with regard to technology. I have enjoyed each stage of my life, and I enjoy learning from the tech. savvy generation as well.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this prompt.
Thank you Pamela for sharing this.

Brenda, this article on "Generations" is marvelous. I'll go as far as saying I believe it's your best work yet. I related on so many levels, born in Buffalo as a Baby Boomer myself. I was with you every step of the way with every word, as you creatively recounted your experiences. The quotes and memes are perfect, too. It's uncanny how we grow into adults, influenced by education, politics, geographical distances and religious beliefs, but find we are more alike than different because of the eras we are born into. If only people fighting against each other knew this, we'd be in a better place as a country and as a world. Thank you for this amazing, well-written analysis and poems about our generation.
Thank you, Pamela, for sharing Brenda's work.

Oh Wow! Thank you so much Jan.

I really appreciate your kind words.

I do find it strange that we are so influenced by the era we were born...but it seems to be so.

If only this was all it would take to make the world a better place.
We definitely are different because of where we grow up & the experiences we face.

I'm happy to know you are a baby boomer too...and yet so many say we were the worst era.

I disagree...i think we had the best of the best.

      Take care.

For this one...the word prompt was "Generation"

There are many differences between each one as the years pass.

We should give our wisdom to the next generation...but sometimes it's so hard to understand where they are coming from.
