    Jan..
Your article, "Generation Gaps in Internet and Computer Use: Informing Our Young People" addresses the big differences we faced in our generation compared to the newer ones.

We didn't have the luxury of computers, or for that matter...even calculators.

We had to depend on the old school ways of hard work.

We had to depend on encyclopedias and libraries.

A lot of rewriting until we got it right.

Your article definitely points out the huge differences we faced in our generation.

Trust me, your not the last mohican.   There are a few of us left.

    Great article..

I'll post a link in the word prompt article.

Appreciate this critique, Brenda. Glad I'm not the last old head left here on HP. I still have my nephews laughing at me sometimes, like when I got my first iPhone and he helped me set it up. Thanks for reading and posting.

I smiled often as I read Jan's article because what she says applies to me while I was in high school and the first year of university. I love the convenience and possibilities of modern technology today, though. The Internet was a great invention.

Wonderful analogies, Janis. I remember when I was in school, computers were a novel thing, and we just had one class of 30 minutes where we "entered" the computer room. We had almost a reverred feeling towards it.And now, my 8th daughter knows far better about search engines, apps, and internet than I knew at her age. The world has changed, and the generation gap will only widen in the coming times. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Brenda, for sharing Janis's article.

Thanks for reading, Ravi. For sure, children are so much smarter now than we ever were. Glad you enjoyed it.
