From Janis arrives a creative work about Luck with a little bit of twist. It offers more than a moment or two of introspection. I encourage a peek at her work. Share your thoughts if comfortable.

The title alone causes my mind to spin, Janis. Maybe it is an elevated mood, yet I gave a few moments on that before venturing to the poem itself feeding my inquiring mind to seek a truth for 'self'. Thanks!

Your poem is beautiful. I read it twice to be able to have my thoughts gathered together for this post. I like how there was shall we say conflict, compromise, and revelation too. Perspective may be found with the intro as I see it.

Sharing, I did find my truth too! It is to venture onto the web seeking biblical knowledge on both 'Luck and Faith' to help guide my decision to the question proposed.

      Thanks!

I really appreciated your critique, Tim. Glad you liked the poem. Hope the intro gave context and perspective. Good to know it prompted you to explore the subject more. I'm sure there must be tons written on the argument of faith versus luck. I tried to leave it open enough for all to explore yet hold true to my own beliefs. Thanks again for your enthusiasm.

Thanks, Brenda. I did. Hubby and I went to a concert, had a great time. This was a productive Saturday.

What a wonderful and thought-provoking poem and commentary, Janis.the song is beautiful as well. Without faith, I don’t think we can have “good luck.” I would much rather hand over my destiny to God and his grace, then to rely on pure luck though. Thank you for sharing the link, Tim.

    Janis...
I absolutely love your article and your poem.

    Luck or Faith ~
I do think that in the end, God is in charge. He knows what direction our life is supposed to go.

I think Lady Luck has a lot to do with God's blessings and our prayers, but your poem asks the question, is the universe the same as faith?

I know I've always been taught to make a wish on  shooting stars and other superstitions, yet I believe totally in the power of prayer.

Oh... but we never cross fingers on both hands...that brings bad luck.

So many of us do hope to hit that lottery or other easy cash... yet seldom does it happen.  Still, it must have a purpose...if nothing else, to keep us dreaming.

P.S. ~ I'd never heard of that song before...it's good.

Great write.  I posted a link in the word prompt article.
